It is time to make plans for our 29th C&R outing at Bennett Springs. It will be held on opening weekend of 2022 catch and release season. The season starts at 8:00 am on Friday, Nov11 and continues on Saturday thru Monday. The no creel fishing starts at 8am and closes at 4:00pm each day. The spring creek will be open for no-creel fishing, but limited to flies and artificials (no bait). Instead of a daily tag of summer, you need only to get a MO Trout Permit ($10:00), good until the end of Feb. 2023 which is good in all four MO trout parks. You can get one anywhere MO license are sold.

This year you will make your own reservations at Sand Springs. Types of accommodations and rates can be found at the end of this article. As of right now there is no formal dinner on Sat night. Many things have changed down at Bennett. Trying to find a place that can accommodate us. I’m working on it. Hope to have somewhere we can all be together for dinner on Sat. night. Info to follow in the Oct/Nov newsletter.

The meeting room will open on Fri. and Sat. night for fly tying and socializing.

To avoid disappointment, on room needs, make your reservations as soon as possible. Make sure to tell them that you are with the Ozark Fly Fishers group.
